A quick recap of the week

week review 2015-02-21

Here are a few highlights from the past short week on AOA:

+ It's finally here: Daniel picked the ultimate dozen donuts. And here are some numbers from the whole Best Dozen.

+ Jin asked about where to donate a wedding dress.

+ Some details on the long-in-the-works residential conversion at 733 Broadway in Albany.

+ Deanna recommended the knish at Nibble.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: Albany's assets, prominent architects, snowshoeing to the summit, winter light, an old-school winter, Peck's Arcade, making pizza at DeFazio's, dinerness, Korean BBQ, drinking chocolate, a birthday dinner, restaurant stories, dreams of scapes, dealing with -7, and learning to let.

+ Nate asked about where to rent a PA system for an event.

+ Miss Pearl returned with advice about dealing with neighbors who don't shovel their sidewalk.

+ Lindsay asked about good daycares near Schenectady.

+ Lauren talked one of the organizers of the circus performance in Troy this weekend -- he's hoping to bring more circus to the city.

+ Donna asked about where to get a handbag repaired.

+ Yep, it's been really cold.

+ -S asked about getting a washing machine repaired.

+ And the story of James Campbell Matthews, New York State's first black judge and an Albany native.

Here's the whole week all lined up.

The Scoop
