A quick recap of the week

Here are some highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We took a walk through the Albany Rural Cemetery. And Ryan's probably right -- Minnie Cooper is a better name than Artemas Fish.

+ We got a better a look at the Cohoes Falls.

+ The Chicago-style hot dogs at Nipper's are like a whole meal in a bun.

+ A few things that caught our attention on Craigslist: a family python, a little black dress, and Missed Connections philosophy.

+ Yellow Blue is back on the ESP. Or, at least, we think it's Yellow Blue.

+ Among the topics in The Neighborhood this week: seasonal beer, hyped horses, Japanese food, copying, and meat... lots of meat.

+ Jess told us about the Circle Museum.

+ You didn't actually ask, but we answered your (or someone's) questions anyway.

+ We walked through UAlbany's new walk-through fountain.

+ Sofya's polka dots caught our eye.

+ The last Saratoga Chips: Caffe Lena, the Spa Park gold rush of 1932, the Churchill connection, Diamonds are a (very large) guy's best friend, Saratoga Trunks.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.

A few things I think about this place

Working on AOA over the past decade has been a life-changing experience for me and it's shaped the way I think about so many things.... (more)

Albany tightened its rules for shoveling snowy sidewalks last winter -- so how'd that work out?

If winter ever gets its act together and drops more snow on us, there will be sidewalks to shovel. And shortly after that, Albany will... (more)

Tea with Jack McEneny
