A quick recap of the week

week review 2016-08-13

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ Megan asked about preferred local banks or credit unions for personal banking.

+ Here are the ideas that surfaced during the Rezone Albany focus on the neighborhood around UAlbany's downtown campus.

+ The LarkFest lineup of music headliners is out.

+ Deanna stopped for spiedies at the Excelsior Pub.

+ EMPAC's fall season schedule is out.

+ As is the schedule for the upcoming season at the Massry Center.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: mistaken histories, unclaimed mail, restoration efforts, a floral explosion, Mount Marcy, Governor's Island, tall trees, traffic signals, local not local, State Fair photos, Beacon, Italian delis, pop-ups, Peck's Arcade, La Empanada Llama, kneading, and a new arrival.

+ Christina asked about finding a home inspector for very old homes.

+ K asked about finding a divorce and child custody attorney.

+ Something that sticks out about prices in this area.

+ And we heard an outside perspective on Albany.

Here's the whole week in one place.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
