Hello Pretty City update

Hello Pretty City concertWe heard from our friends over WEXT this afternoon that Laura Glazer's Hello Pretty City show will make its Exit 97.7 debut on April 4. The show will run Sundays from 8-10 pm.

Hello Pretty City has long been a staple on WRPI, but a change in Laura's schedule prompted her to make the move to WEXT. As she wrote on her blog:

Please, kind listener, know that I'm not leaving WRPI for any reason other than my schedule is changing and I need to be at work on weekday mornings. I am truly thankful to be able to find a way to continue doing the radio show, even though it will be on another station.

Laura's planned a "celebration concert" for the show this Friday at Valentine's featuring Brown Bird, The Charlie Watts Riots, Pony in the Pancake, and The Landlines. Tickets are $8. Show starts at 8 pm.

The Exit Dome concert

super 400 eggOur friends at WEXT are holding another benefit concert two weeks from today (October 23). There's great group of bands lined up: Super 400 (that's them on the right), Eric Margan and the Red Lions, Sean Rowe and Sarah Pedinotti and Chris Kyle from Railbird.

You can get two tickets to the show by pledging $60 to the station (you can also swing a single ticket by contacting the station directly: 1-800-272-6492). The show starts 7:30 pm on the 23rd at WMHT's studios in the North Greenbush.

We're big fans of WEXT. Chris and Dave and the gang are great supporters of local music. And the station makes the Capital Region a more interesting place to live.
